First Financial Asset Management and the FFAM360 group of companies are excited to announce the appointment of General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer Melissa Meggison to the PAWS Atlanta Board of Directors.

PAWS Atlanta is a no-kill shelter that gives the animals in its care the time, medical attention, and behavioral training they need to thrive and survive. Their mission is to build a community of caring through people helping pets and pets helping people.

Ms. Meggison is the loving and devoted owner of a nearly 18-year-old cat who was found as a stray on a South Florida golf course at 6 weeks old. Her love for animals, especially cats, combined with her legal background and professional experience make her an excellent addition to the Board of Directors.

“I am very honored to take on this new role as a member of the PAWS Atlanta Board of Directors. Every animal deserves a loving home and it’s no secret that as an animal lover, my cat is one of the most important members of my family. This is an exciting opportunity to help guide the organization’s important work of finding every animal a forever home,” says Ms. Meggison. “I strongly believe in the PAWS Atlanta mission and the lifesaving services they provide. I consider myself very fortunate to have this opportunity to work together with the wonderful staff, volunteers, and fellow Board members to serve our community.”

For over 56 years, the organization has relied on the generosity of supporters as it receives no funding from federal, state, or county governments. Paws Atlanta offers services such as:

  • Pet adoption and foster services
  • Bi-monthly pet wellness clinics
  • Discount health preventatives
