First Financial Asset Management, FFAM360, announces its continued annual sponsorship and participation in The Promise686 Race, a family race that benefits orphans and foster care children. This year’s event takes place on April 18, 2020, in St. Johns Creek, GA.

For the 6th year, FFAM360 is partnering with Promise686 to end the unrelenting and unending cycle of foster care. President and Chief Investment Officer Matthew Maloney is leading Team Maloney/FFAM360 in The Promise686 Race with a personal-team goal of raising $10,000 (and an overall capital-raise goal of $400,000) for much-needed resources that will help the organization to match urgent needs with present solutions. 100% of The Promise686 Race donations will go toward recruiting and equipping foster families to care for at-risk children.

The Promise686 Race is a family-friendly race combined with festival activities. With multiple race options for participants, there is a fun and easy way for everyone to participate. This year’s event includes one mile cycles during which participants complete disruption zones such as being covered in color, flipping tires, encountering climbs and crawls, carrying weighted bags, and more. The Home Zone includes festival activities for non-participants and participants alike. Home Zone activities include food trucks, bounce houses, drinks, and fun activities for all ages.

Across Georgia, there are more than 15,000 foster children, yet only 4,000 homes. Promise686 activates churches to raise up foster families while providing services, supports, advocacy efforts, and more. With more than 10,000 churches in the state, the goal of Promise686 is to equip individual churches to raise up hundreds of new foster families and meet the exploding demand.

“We are very excited to continue our annual support of Promise 686,” says Matthew Maloney. “The loneliness these children must endure is heartbreaking, but through the recruiting services and family supports of Promise686, they are able to find loving forever homes and break the cycle that at-risk children experience. Our entire FFAM360 family is proud to be a part of the vital work that Promise686 does to give the gift of love and hope to so many vulnerable children while creating a lasting, positive impact in our own communities, across the state, and throughout the world.”

Promise686 was formed in 2007 to help place foster children into Christian families. Building a broad coalition of churches to respond to the needs of orphans and foster children, the organization addresses the local crisis in foster care and educates and supports families who adopt (both domestically and internationally). In the five years following its start, Promise686 expanded to offer grants to churches outside the local community, expanding into the metro-Atlanta area and working with private agencies. In 2012, the organization developed a relationship with the local county office of the Division of Children and Families and has since expanded throughout the state of Georgia and beyond.

“Children are a precious gift and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that each child has the opportunity to grow and thrive in a loving home,” continues President Maloney. “FFAM360 is a values-driven Company and our employees strive to live our mission of intentional living. We are deeply rooted in our philosophy of volunteering and actively engage in our communities to promote the welfare of those most in need. We are proud to partner with Promise686 every year and help build healthy families and stronger communities.”
